In addition, the training delves into positive psychology and positive pedagogy. Well-being skills and their importance, from both the coach’s and the client’s perspective, are a central part of the program.
The training follows and exceeds the quality recommendations of the Finnish Association of Neurodiversity Coaches (Suomen Neuropsykiatriset Valmentajat ry).
Neurodiversity coach trainings can be organized either privately by companies or in collaboration with educational institutions. All training providers grant the same level of qualification, regardless of how the training is delivered. All graduates have equal opportunities to work as neurodiversity coaches, provided their educational background meets the requirements. Neurodiversity coaching is not supervised by Valvira (the Finnish National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health), and the job titles used in coaching (e.g., “neuropsychiatric coach” or “Nepsy coach” or “Neurodiversity coach” are not protected professional titles. For international students we recommend familiarising yourself with the local practices - the content, quality and benefits of the training are not culturally dependant, Oppiko’s trainings have been proven to be effective and beneficial to many parts of the planet.
